Using the 3-core BCM tool, a national gas supplier, in collaboration with 3-core, has implemented a company-wide business continuity management system. The tool was used as a central platform to document processes in a structured manner, assess impacts, analyse dependencies and derive continuity strategies from these findings. Background and Objectives of the Project<\/h2>

Our client is a national gas supplier with many technical interfaces and numerous processes that can quickly come under pressure in the event of disruptions or crises. The aim was not only to embed business continuity management \u2018conceptually\u2019, but to structure it in such a way that those responsible could access a robust data foundation in the event of an emergency. To achieve this, critical processes had to be identified across the organisation, the impact of a failure assessed consistently, and dependencies made transparent.<\/p>

For the client, it was particularly crucial that the results were not produced in various formats, but were centralised, could be clearly analysed and could be updated later with minimal effort. For this reason, the tool was chosen as a shared working platform.
