Background<\/strong><\/h2>

As an operator of critical infrastructure in the energy sector, the company has a key responsibility for ensuring a secure and stable energy supply. The considered power plant has a high capacity and, due to these technical characteristics, is one of the plants that plays a significant role in the provision of balancing power products. Attacks on such infrastructure through sabotage, targeted physical attacks or protests aim to cause economic damage, compromise the security of supply or enforce political interests. For this reason, it was required for our client to develop a site-specific security concept based on threats, protection aims and potential perpetrator profiles.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

Solution<\/strong><\/h2>

Our security concept was developed based on a comprehensive risk analysis. The risk analysis considers external threats as well as location-specific issues and is carried out by using our risk tools. Findings from publicly known incidents in the industry are evaluated to emphasise the necessity of risk-oriented security planning.<\/p>

The implementation follows a structured approach that integrates internal guidelines, normative requirements and industry-specific standards. This approach has enabled protective measures to be designed and adapted in a way that allows them to be adapted in a flexible manner to different risk situations and contribute effectively to ensuring supply and corporate security.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t
