Security AUDIT of a regional supply provider
Background
The 3-core GmbH was commissioned by a regional utility service provider to review the physical security of its sites. The goal was to assess the current security status of the sites, analyse differences in security levels and suggest specific measures to optimise security. Through this process, the suitability of the existing security measures could be assessed and improved in a targeted manner.
Solution
In order to systematically survey the security situation at all sites, a comprehensive questionnaire was developed in advance of the inspections and distributed to those responsible for the sites. The questionnaire was used to record structural, technical, personnel and organisational security measures and made it possible to precisely document the current status of security measures at each location. As the security levels of the 12 sites varied, the security experts from 3-core GmbH visited each site individually to identify individual weaknesses and areas for improvement.
Based on the information gathered and the site visits, a comparison was drawn up between the actual state and a target state of physical security. The site-specific optimisation measures derived from this were recorded in a structured table and a detailed report, which were then presented to the management and explained in detail. This not only provided the customer with a transparent overview of the security status of its sites, but also concrete recommendations for action to sustainably increase security standards.
